Apple Preping iOS 5 and iPhone 5 for Fall Launch

According to different sources, Apple will only talk about iOS 5 at the 2011 WWDC this summer and not have an actual launch. Jefferies analyst Peter Misek says that both iOS 5 and the iPhone 5 will not be available earlier than this fall, the reason for the delay being the new cloud-based services that Apple will most likely incorporate.
Because of this delay, the company's revenue is expected to see a cut from $106.9 billion to $103 billion, which is not that tragic for Apple.
"Our checks indicate Apple is aiming for a significant step forward with a strong focus on integrating cloud services into the operating system. We believe this additional functionality is taking longer to incorporate than expected, leading to the next iOS launch being later this summer or fall.", said Misek.
He also thinks that the iPhone 5 could include new chips from Qualcomm that contain both Wi-Fi and GPS functionality, and add Bluetooth and near-field communications capability in the future.
