windows phone 7 copy pasteThat's right folks, Microsoft's highly-expected Windows Phone 7 OS update will bring copy-paste to the masses later this month, as well as other small fixes, such as better loading times when switching between applications and better Marketplace search, making it easier to find specific apps.

The copy-paste feature will work pretty much the same way it does on other devices. You'll be able to copy your text from text messages, emails, web pages or other documents, and paste it anywhere you want.

To copy a word, just tap on it, slide your finger to highlight any additional text, then tap the Copy icon. To paste a copied text into an input field, just tap the spot where it should go, then tap the Paste icon.

Presumably, this is part of a series of updates that Microsoft is planning for Windows Phone 7. More important features that are rumored to launch this year are the addition of Internet Explorer 9, in-app purchases and expanded APIs.

Awesome. Its a matter of time, not very long for WP7 to surpass the others in every area. Just wait.

Hilarious. Isn't this article about the same as saying "Windows Phone 7 adds voice calling functionality!" ? Android has had copy and past for a LONG time, at least my phone has (Galaxy S). Why even bother with a WP7 phone when you have such a flexible open product as Android in the market? If you want it to look like a WP7 phone you could always just make a 'skin' and walla! So un-entertaining WP7.
