Samsung Sells 10 Million Galaxy S Phones Worldwide

Samsung today hit a pretty big milestone, announcing that it has sold 10 million Android OS Galaxy S smartphones since its launch in June 2010. That equals to about one device sold every two seconds.

According to Samsung, North America leads the Galaxy S sales chart with 4 million sales, followed by Europe at 2.5 million and Asia with 2 million sales.

"The Galaxy S is the result of our 22 year heritage in the mobile industry. It is the realization of our concept of 'the Smart Life' - we wanted to makes users' lives more convenient, more exciting, and more integrated", said JK Shin, President and Head of Mobile Communications Business at Samsung. Today's milestone shows that we have succeeded: 10 million Galaxy S users around the world are living the Smart Life."
