BlackBerry Bold 9780 Smartphone Introduced by RIM

blackberry bold 9780 sideResearch in Motion yesterday announced the newest addition to their Bold line-up, the BlackBerry Bold 9780 3G smartphone.

Running BlackBerry 6 operating system, the 9780 features a 480x360 pixel resolution display, 5 megapixel camera with image stabilization, continuous autofocus, flash and video recording, 512 MB of Flash memory and a 2GB microSD card inside. Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS for location-based applications and geo-tagging.

Some of the features of the BlackBerry 6 OS include a new WebKit-based browser that offers navigation using the handset's optical trackpad, expanded messaging capabilities, integrated access to BlackBerry Messenger, FaceBook Twitter, MySpace, and other IM services, enhanced multimedia experience and a redesigned Music and Pictures applications.

The new BlackBerry Bold 9780 will be available from various carriers around the world starting this November.
