Samsung Galaxy S Getting Android 2.2 Froyo Update Today

Samsung announced that the Android 2.2 Froyo update will start rolling out today for its Galaxy S smartphones.
The Android 2.2 Froyo update comes with the brand new Dalvik JIT compiler, which brings faster speeds in CPU-bound code, voice-controlled GPS through Google Maps with Navigation, search in-browser using Google, Translate, Wikipedia and Dictionary, Adobe Flash Player 10.1 and a new V8 JavaScript engine for a two to three times faster browser.
The Samsung Galaxy S features a 4-inch super AMOLED touchscreen, a 5 megapixel camera with 720 video recording and it's powered by a 1GHz processor.
The Android 2.2 upgrade will be available via Kies, Samsung's software upgrade program. Kies can be downloaded at the Samsung mobile website.
