sony ericsson xperia x8 sideThe last phone announced yesterday in Singapore was the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8, the company's newest addition to the Xperia lineup. This high-end smartphone features a user interface similar to that of the X10 mini, with the four-corners that give easy one hand use and can be customised for one touch access to your favourite apps. The X8 also comes with Timescape, which lets you access all your social networking sites.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 features a 600MHz processor running Google Android Donut (1.6). The device also comes equipped with a HVGA 3.0-inch (320 x 480 pixels) 16 million color TFT capacitive touchscreen, 3.2 megapixel camera with geo tagging, Music Player, FM radio, 3.5 mm audio jack, 128 MB internal memory, microSD card slot for up to 16 GB of extra memory, 2 GB microSD card included in the box, Google Maps with A-GPS, stereo Bluetooth with A2DP, Micro USB connector and Wi-Fi.

The Xperia X8 supports GSM GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900, UMTS HSPA 900/2100 and UMTS HSPA 800/850/1900/2100 and it will be available in the third quarter of 2010 in multiple color versions. No price was released.
