Motorola Flipout With Android 2.1 Announced

motorola flipout pivotMotorola today officially introduced the Flipout, a square smartphone powered by Google's Android 2.1. I say 'officially', because images of this device have already surfaced a couple of weeks ago.

The Motorola Flipout comes with a 2.8-inch (320 x 240 pixels) QVGA pivot design touchscreen that unveils a five-row QWERTY keyboard.

Other features include a 3.0 megapixel with digital zoom and fixed-focus, 512MB internal memory with a microSD card slot (2GB card included) with support for up to 32GB, FM Radio Receive, AAC, AAC+, AAC+ Enhanced, AMR NB, MP3, WMA v9, 3.5mm headset jack, USB 2.0 HS, Wi-Fi, NGP, IM, video capture/playback/streaming, H.264, MPEG4, WMV v9, Android HTML WebKit with Adobe Flash Enabled and aGPS.

The Motorola Flipout with MOTOBLUR will be available in some regions around the world starting June 2010. No price has been revealed.
