Sprint Reveals HTC EVO 4G Price and Release Date

As expected, Sprint has officially announced the first WiMAX (4G) smarthphone for the US, the HTC EVO 4G. The device, which will run Google's Android 2.1 OS, will start selling in less than a month, on June 4th for the price of $199 with a 2-year contract, after a $100 mail-in rebate.

The HTC EVO 4G comes with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 4.3-inch (480 x 800 pixels) TFT LCD display, an 8.0 megapixel camera, HD video recording, a secondary 1.3 megapixel for video calls, 1GB of storage and 512MB of RAM.
