Looks like the June 6 launch date that was rumored last month, is getting more and more believable. The FCC has approved the HTC Evo 4G this week, which will be heading to Sprint and will operate on their blazing fast WiMAX 4G network.

The carrier first introduced the Evo 4G Android phone back in March and it comes with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, Android 2.1 OS, 4.3-inch (480 x 800 pixels) TFT LCD display, an 8.0 megapixel camera with autofocus and HD video recording, a 1.3 megapixel in the front for video calls, 1GB of built-in storage and 512MB of RAM.

Sprint is having a a special HTC Evo event on Wednesday, where they'll most likely reveal its price and other juicy info. Stay tuned.
