t-mobile garminfone 1T-Mobile USA announced the upcoming availability of the Garminfone, the first Android-based smartphone featuring fully-integrated Garmin premium navigation.

The Garminfone is a full-touch 3G smartphone equipped with a large 3.5-inch display, 3.0 megapixel camera with autofocus and geo-tagging, music player, social networking, instant messaging, Microsoft Exchange support and Wi-Fi. The phone also comes packed with a charging window and dashboard mount.

The Garminfone navigation features are well integrated into the smartphone, giving users the ability to navigate to an address by tapping on it from a text message, e-mail, contact, calendar appointment, or web page whether they're in or out of cell phone coverage. You can also set it to remember where you parked your car and navigate you back to it in case you forgot.

The smartphone also comes packed with a few Garmin travel applications that let you view dynamic, real-time traffic, local events, weather, movie listings and gas prices. Garmin also added voice features to their handset, like text-to-speech and Voice Studio, which is an Android app that allows customers to record and share voice directions.

T-Mobile is planning to launch the Garminfone later this spring for an unknown price.
