Just weeks after slashing the price of the Palm Pixi Plus to $79, Verizon decided to make a more serious price reduction. The carrier is now selling the Pre Plus for $50, down from $150, while the Pixi Plus now costs $30, down from $80.

And it's not just the smartphones that are getting a price cut. For a limited time only, Verizon is offering its $40 / month Mobile Hotspot service, which allows you to turn your Palm smartphone into a Wi-Fi hotspot for your laptop, for free. The usage cap for the service is 5GB per month.
