Starting today, Vodafone UK customers can pre-order the highly expected HTC Lengend Android smartphone, which will be launching next month exclusively on Vodafone.

The HTC Legend handset will not lack the Vodafone crapware, so it will come built-in with Vodafone 360 apps, with access to services like Music and MyWeb.

The Legend is running Android 2.1 Éclair and features a 3.2-inch AMOLED HVGA display (320 X 480 pixels), 512 MB ROM, 384 MB RAM, microSD card slot with 32 GB support, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, 3G, GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi b/g, 3.5 m audio jack. The device also includes some special features:

  • Automatically lowers the ringer volume when it's picked up
  • Mutes the ringer when the phone is flipped face down
  • Backs up SMS/MMS messages, bookmarks, Wi-Fi passwords and other settings to the microSD card automatically

Vodafone UK is getting ready to launch the HTC Legend on April 2nd for free on monthly 24-month contracts starting from £25, which includes 300 minutes (600 minutes if you order online), unlimited texts and 500 MB of data.

Vodafone UK is also planning to launch HTC Desire, Sony Ericsson X10 and Google Nexus is the near future.
