Google Nexus One Coming to Sprint

That's right! Sprint yesterday announced that the Google Nexus One Android-based smartphone is coming to its network. This follows Google's announcement earlier this week that the Nexus One will be available from AT&T. They most likely spoiled the surprise unveiling early so that people looking to get a Nexus One, would wait for a Sprint version, instead of going to AT&T.

"Nexus One is a powerful device that belongs on a powerful network. This is another step in our continued partnership of innovation with Google." - Fared Adib. Sprint VP of product development

With this announcement, and the Verizon version coming this Spring, the Nexus One could become a huge hit, despite its disappointing first week sales, managing to sell only 20,000 units.

The pricing of the Sprint plans has yet to be set. The Nexus One currently retails for $529 with no contract or $179 with a two-year T-Mobile service contract.
