Verizon Lowers Palm Pixi Plus Price to $79

Just one month after being introduced, Verizon decided to slash the price of the Palm Pixi Plus by $20. That's a pretty impressive price drop for a device that hasn't been out for long.

It seems that the main reason for the price drop is to encourage sales of the Pixi. The previous $50 price difference between the Pixi Plus and the more powerful Pre Plus led users to chose the latter device instead. I would hold off on this for an extra month, just to see if Verizon goes for another price drop.

The Pixi Plus comes equipped with a 2.63-inch (320 x 400 pixels) HVGA touchscreen, 2.0 megapixel camera with LED flash, video recording, 8GB of internal memory, GPS, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor, 3.5mm audio jack and EV-DO Rev. A.
