microsoft windows mobileTime for some juicy Microsoft rumors again. The company is reportedly getting ready to launch Windows Mobile 6.6 (codename Maldives) with support for capacitive touchscreens next month in an effort to further compete against the iPhone and Android mobile platforms. Sales of Windows Mobile 6.5 have not been that exciting since its launch late last year.

If this rumor is true, it doesn't mean we won't be getting a Windows Mobile 7 announcement or at least a sneak peak at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February, but it may delay its launch to 2011, instead of the end of 2010, as it was planned originally.
