Nokia released two new 3G slider handsets yesterday, the Nokia 6700 slide and the Nokia 7230. Look like the design department wasn't too inspired when they thought up the 6700, considering the fact that it looks pretty much like an iPod Nano. To make things even worse, the device comes in multiple color versions sporting just about the same colors as the Nano. Ouch!
Feature-wise, the Nokia 6700 slide is packed with a 2.2-inch QVGA (320x240 pixels), 16.7 million color display, 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, VGA video recording at 15 fps, ability to edit images on the go and upload them to the web, 45MB of internal memory, microSD card slot for up to 16GB of extra storage, music player and FM radio,
Not as feature-rich as the 6700, the Nokia 7230 comes equipped with a 2.4-inch (320x240 pixels), 262k color display, 3.2 megapixel camera with dedicated camera key, Nokia Messaging, 2GB microSD card included in the phone, FM radio, light alert for incoming calls and messages.
Both devices are expected to ship in the first quarter of 2010, for a price of about €160 for the Nokia 6700 slide and €100 for the Nokia 7230.
