iphone 3gsThat's right, Orange today announced that it will begin shipping the iPhone in the UK starting November 10, on the same day that O2's two-year exclusivity ends. The carrier first mentioned the upcoming launch of the iPhone last month, without giving any specific information regarding the release date or pricing.

The exclusive deal between O2 and Apple has helped the carrier surpass Vodafone and is currently the largest mobile network in the UK.

Customers going for a 2-year contract worth £30 or £45 per month will get the iPhone for free. The cheapest O2 contract was worth $34.26.

An iPhone from Vodafone is also expected to begin shipping sometime next year.
