Just weeks after jumping on the Android bandwagon, Verizon is getting ready to launch its second Android-based smartphone, the highly expected Motorola Droid.

In an effort to further attack Apple's iPhone, the carrier has set up a promo site for the device that directly picks on the iPhone with statements such as "iDon't have a real keyboard" and "iDon't allow open development", ending with "Everything iDon't... Droid Does". This is the second time Verizon picked on the iPhone, after releasing that anti-AT&T ad earlier this month.

The site hints at the Droid features: 5 megapixel camera, Android OS 2.0, speech recognition, video, tunes, 10,000+ apps, multitaking, high speed, hi-res. The Droid promo site also has countdown clock, which uses symbols instead of numbers. Decoding the symbols will tell you that the clock's counting down to midnight October 30, 2009. Stay tuned!
