If completed, the deal between Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile and France Telecom's Orange would see bring the two companies sales of €9.4 billion.

It would also get them 37% of the mobile market, making it the largest UK provider, overtaking O2 by 10% and Vodafone by 12%.

Orange and T-Mobile said their deal, which will be signed in November, would bring substantial benefits to UK customers, expanded network coverage, better network quality and improved customer services. We'll have to see what the EU has to say about this.
