Palm Pre Getting a $50 Price Cut

According to some rumors coming from a Sprint employee, the carrier is getting ready to cut the price of the Pre smartphone by $50, meaning that from September 8 to October 31 you'll be able to get Palm's smartphone for $150 instead of the original $200 launch price after a $100 mail-in rebate. The deal will only be available at indirect Sprint retailers. You will still need to sign up for an Everything Data plan or a Simply Everything plan.
