Nokia introduced three new entry-level phones today in an attempt to bring the Internet closer to emerging markets across the globe. The Nokia 2730 classic, Nokia 2720 fold and Nokia 7020 are all Internet-ready and come packed with Nokia Life Tools and Ovi Mail.
Nokia 2730 classic
Priced at €80 ($110), the Nokia 2730 classic is the company's most affordable 3G phone. It's a quad-band GSM candybar device and it features a 2-inch, 262k color TFT display, a 2.0 megapixel camera, microSD memory slot for extra storage, music player, FM radio and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The Nokia 2720 fold is a compact fold phone with an interesting mirror-effect design, which helps people stay organized with easy access to email, calendar, Internet connectivity and file sharing apps. It runs on the Series 40 interface, 65k color display, 1.3 megapixel camera and comes with Ovi Mail support. The Nokia 2720 fold is expected to begin shipping in the third quarter of this year for the price of €55 ($75) before subsidies and taxes.Nokia 7020
Nokia 7020 is a fashionable fold phone that uses light, color and metal finishes to convey personal style. It's a quad-band GSM and it features a 2.2-inch, 262k color display, 2.0 megapixel camera, 45 MB built-in memory, music player and FM Radio. The Nokia 7020 is expected to start shipping a bit later, in the fourth quarter of 2009 for the price of €90 ($120).
