Nokia 5800 xpressmusicNokia today announced a software update for their latest touchscreen handset, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, which was just launched in the US earlier this month.

The update is meant to improve the performance and add new functionalities to the device. Improvements include faster downloads, better search via the in-device search, improved email. Nokia has also added new features to the 5800 XpressMusic such as:

  • second camera now supports photo capture in addition to video calls
  • Burst Mode, which allows you to take multiple pictures one after another
  • Mobile Dictionary, a built-in dictionary which comes with playback of words and supports 38 languages
  • Application Update, which you can use to check for available updates for applications you use and update them directly in the device.

Will this fix that 3G issue thing? I'm seriously afraid to buy one. Looks like it has more problems than features.
