HTC Launching More Android Phones in 2009

android os google htcAccording to HTC CEO Peter Chou, the company will be shipping at least three more Android-based Google smartphones this year.

HTC, the biggest Windows Mobile smartphone manufacturer, was the first one to launch a Google OS device, when it launched the HTC G1 together with T-Mobile. They are also getting ready to launch the G2 (or HTC Magic), which will be carried by Vodafone in Europe.

When asked if the report saying that HTC will make five Android-based handsets in 2009 was true, the CEO replied that there will be "at least three".
