eBay to Expand PayPal After RIM Deal

According to company insiders, eBay is planing to expand its PayPal online payment platform. Just last week, PayPal and Research in Motion announced a deal that will allow BlackBerry users to purchase applications for their smartphones on the company's new App World service exclusively via PayPal.
Jack Stephenson, Senior Vice-President of PayPal said that the company wants to make PayPal available on low-end phones without a data connection and to people that don't own credit cards. Stephenson also said that these types of users will have the posibilty to add money to their PayPal accounts by purchasing pre-paid PayPal cards.
The company is also planning to launch an SDK this year, to make it easier for developers to create new ways to use the payment platform.
