If you're an American Idol addict, the producers of the show are giving you another way to keep up with the contestants. An official app for the iPhone and iPod Touch has been launched.
Entitled "American Idol Season 8 Exclusive", the app will offer you weekly behind-the-scenes videos, bios and other information. By the end of the season, there will be a total of 78 videos available, each one in a confessional format to help viewers get to know each contestant better.
Some of the videos will be available on the American Idol website, but according to the producers, most of them will be exclusive to the app.
As an bonus feature, the app lets you predict the order of who stays and who gets voted off.
The American Idol app is available for $1.99 at the iTunes App Store.
