Good news for Android. Chinese cell phone manufacturer Huawei has announced plans launch a series of smartphones running Google's Android operating system in the third quarter of 2009.
Huawei has just joined the Android Open Handset Alliance earlier this week, along with 13 other companies, becoming the second Chinese company to join the alliance after China Mobile, the country's largest operator.
Let's see if Huawei will manage to be the third manufacturer to bring out a gPhone. The first two places are already taken by the HTC Dream and the Kogan Agora, the Australian phone maker, which will launch its device on January 29.
