The wait is over. After being revealed at the Mobile World Congress 2008 back in February, Nokia finally released the N96 in the US.
Unfortunately for T-Mobile customers, the Nokia N96 US only supports 850/1900 MHz 3G frequencies, so they won't be able to fully utilize this device.
Let's have another look at the features. The N96 US is running Symbian 9.2 and comes packed with a 2.8" QVGA, 16 million color display, a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, dual-LED flash, autofocus and VGA video recording at 30 fps.
Storage-wise, the N96 US features 16GB of internal flash memory and a microSDHC card slot for extra memory. Other features include Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, WiFi with uPnP, DVB-H (digital TV), dual-slide with dedicated multimedia keys and gaming keys and a 3.5mm AV outlet for audio and TV-Out.
Nice set of features, but it will cost you. Nokia has set a price tag for the unlocked N96 US of $800
