Palm and Verizon Wireless finally introduced the Palm Centro last Friday, a low-cost touchscreen smartphone announced by Palm last year in September.
The device was first launched by Sprint in October for $99 with a 2 year-contract.
The Centro runs Palm OS 5.4.9 and it features a 2.2" 65k color TFT LCD touchscreen, 320x320 pixels), 1.3 megapixel camera with 2x digital zoom, video capture and playback, 64MB of memory, microSD card slot, a full QWERTY keyboard, POP/IMAP/SMTP, browser, speakerphone and Bluetooth 1.2.
Just like the Sprint version, Verizon's Centro will cost $99.99 with a $70 mail-in rebate and a 2-year contract.
