Verizon Wireless today announced the launch of the new XV6900 touchscreen smartphone, showcased at CTIA 2008 this month.
Features include EV-DO, 1xRTT-capabilities, virtual QWERTY keyboard, 2.0 megapixel camera with auto-focus, zoom and video capture, Windows Mobile 6 Professional, IM capabilities (AIM, MSN and Yahoo!), Windows Media Player 10, Internet Explorer Mobile, Bluetooth 2.0 with support for stereo, hands-free and headset profiles and microSD card slot for up to 8GB of memory.
Verizon is selling the XV6900 for $349.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract. An additional $100 credit toward the purchase of the handset is available for customers who sign up for qualifying voice and data plans at the time of purchase.
