iPhone/iPod Touch 1.1.4 firmware released
26 Feb 2008 | Apple , Software | 7 comments
After weeks of rumors and waiting around, Apple finally released the 1.1.4 firmware update for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
Apple really put a lot of thought in the release notes this time, describing the update as "Bug Fixes", which always translates to "will kill your jailbroken phone". There's no indication of any major SDK related update as of yet, so if you have a Jailbroken iPhone/iPod, DO NOT update yet. Just wait until the devs figure this one out or until Apple gives us more info.
UPDATE: Apparently there is already a way to JailBreak your 1.1.4 iPhone (no unlock yet) with ZiPhone. It has been confirmed by Nate True. It is recommended you stay away from any updates until things settle down.

SDK is close. I can feel it. Apple is getting ready for something big. I bet the update covered a lot more than it was revealed. Maybe there's something special hidden inside to get you ready for the third party apps!
there's NO WAY i'm updating to this thing. I wouldn't give up my apps for anything.
Dangit Doug!! I am too excited for comments like that. I am on edge and beyond anxious for the SDK, comments like that may make me double my perscription doses.

This update is pretty important! PS I'm not a fanboy, I'm just want my official 3rd party apps already!
