According to German Telecom operator Deutsche Telekom, 70,000 iPhones have been sold since launch day 11 weeks ago. This puts the Germans in a close third, right behind Orange's numbers, which were estimated at over 70,000 on January 10.

The clear winner thus far in the European iPhone battle is O2 with an estimated 200,000 units sold by January.

Oddly enough, head of T-Mobile Germany Phillipp Humm seems to be very pleased with how things are going, saying that the iPhone is "by far the most sold multimedia device in T-Mobile's portfolio".

Apple announced that it has sold over 4 million iPhone since its launch on June 29.
