Looks like RIM finally realized what WiFi support means for a handheld. The company today announced together with AT&T the launch of the BlackBerry 8820.
The quad-band 8820 comes equipped with a 65k color QVGA display, POP/IMAP/SMTP email support, GPRS/EDGE/WiFi 802.11a/b/g, music player with MP3/WMA/AAC/AAC+/eAAC+ support, 64MB internal memory, microSD card slot, QWERTY keyboard, trackball, Bluetooth 2.0 and GPS.
AT&T will start rolling out the Blackberry 8820 starting September 20, online and in retail stores for $299.99 with a 2-year contract.
