iPhone announced, but not by Apple

Every rumor you read last week about an official announcement of the iPhone turned out to be true after all. Linksys today unveiled the iPhone Skype compatible VoIP phone. Cisco, the parent company of Linksys, has owned the iPhone name since 1996, so there's no way Apple could ever use that name.
As you probably know, all this hype started when Brian Lam from Gizmodo posted a short article saying that the iPhone announcement is going to take place today. He was right, even though Apple wasn't the one announcing the product and now most Gizmodo users are pissed.
Anyway, there's a more important question we need an answer for: If there really is an Apple phone on the way, what's it gonna be called?

So I got excited over nothing?? For this? A voip phone? wow ...
I am quietly laughing inside at all those geeky apple fanboys, Kevin Rose included...
i actually like this phone though. although, if apple were to make a phone, maybe icell or something lame like that. besides, i think the whole ixxxx is quite annoying and should be dropped.
They will drop the ixx and probably think of something new, just like they did with the iBook. They managed to turn that into MacBook. Perhaps they will do the same this time ... MacPhone?
MacPhone sounds like something i'd order at McDonalds with a side of MacNuggets
Mac this, i that, just call it Apple Phone.
who cares. bunch of consumer nerds.
Linksys USB phones for Skype are branded "iPhone" for a couple of years and still available. I still don't understand all the hype about this non-announcement of the "iphone" name.
