We may be a little late on this, but on Wednesday LG announced a new handset that will succeed their famous Chocolate phone. It's called Shine and it follows the consumer preference for slim metal casings.
It's equipped with a 2.2-inch QVGA display that turns into some kind of mirror when it's turned off, a 2 megapixel camera, 1GB memory for up to 250 tracks, and a new feature called MUVEE, which enables you to make your own video clips using photos and background music.
LG also said that they may introduce other colors in the near future. Let's just hope for a faster global launch.

Wowie.. Looks pretty sweet and clean.
The question is: Will it become as popular as the Chocolate?
Either way, I like how LG doesn't hold on to a popular product for YEARS. This is where Motorola went wrong with its RAZR phones.
The design is cool. It doesn't have that whole mysterious feeling that Chocolate gave you, but hopefully LG will figure something out. I really like where this is going.
I really like how this phone looks. It has a nice shine and metal look to it.
this phone is cool. but does any body no what company will have this phone? my guess is verizon being that LG has a good friendship with them.
this is a nice phone but i'm just wondering if it will scratch like hell??
how much does the LG shine cost?
I'm getting one and im worried about it scratching - but i will keep it safe -- it is way better than the LG Chocolate, more stylish and gorgeous -- it looks fantastic with its sleek finis.
IT IS FANTASTIC AND I CAN DO MY MAKE UP IN IT IF I FORGET MY MIRROR! X HOW AMAZING I WOULDNT WANT IT IN ANY OTHER COLOUR IT LOOKS FABULOUS SILVER - THATS WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL - WAYYYYY BETTER THAN LG CHOCOLATE -- THEY'RE DATED AND BORING NOW X
I have not seen the LG shine in bermuda so im wandering wich is better. The Candybar version or the Slider
That's my future phone!!
does it have the sensor pad like the chocolate slide that was the best thing about the chocolate slide
It is with AT&T right now for 149.99 for a 2yr contract.
That's true .. about time.
I got one a few days ago. I love it. No, it doesn't have a sensor pad, it has a little joystick, which personally, I think is better.
I have AT&T and wasn't eligible for an upgrade, but the store hooked us up and sold it for $200 with a $50 mail in rebate.
i want it, its really cute and it was the first phone that caught my eye when i walked in the store
it's nice,but it's very easy to scrach
