I don't think this story will bring much joy to our US readers, but yes, the famous Motorola KRZR K1 aka Canary has just been launched in Hong Kong through the SmarTone-Vodafone network.
If you're unfamiliar with the features, here they are again: 2 megapixel digital camera with 8x digital zoom and image editing, video capture, record up to 25 minutes of video on embedded memory, Midi, MP3, AAC, AAC+ enhanced music player, MicroSD card slot.
Other features include Bluetooth, EDGE and Push-To-View for sharing of images real time, Screen 3 technology for instant access to your news, sports, and other content.
According to their website, the Motorola KRZR K1 is retailing for HKD 3,180 ($408) with contract. The real surprise is that they are selling the contract-free K1 for HKD 3,280 ($421), at a difference of $13.
