Motorola i580 launched by Sprint Nextel

Sprint Nextel today announced the availability of Motorola's "ultra-durable" iDEN handset, the Motorola i580. This phone was announced a few months earlier, at CTIA 2006. iDEN (Integrated Digital Enhanced Network) is a mobile communications technology, developed by Motorola, which provides its users the benefits of a trunked radio and a cellular telephone. Nextel is the largest US retailer of iDEN services.
The Motorola i580 features a 176x220, 262k color internal display, 1.3 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, flashlight, micro SD card slot with a 64MB card included, Bluetooth, GPS support and advanced walkie-talkie capabilities including Direct Send.
Sprint Nextel is selling the Motorola i580 for $279.99 after all discounts and a 2-year contract.
