Rumor: Apple and RIM team up for AppleBerry

Here's another hot rumor for all you Apple fans out there. After the whole BenQ and Softbank incidents from March and May, respectively, new rumors started showing up saying that Apple will this time team up with the BlackBerry maker, Research in Motion, to create the so-called "AppleBerry" wonder phone.

This is coming from Peter Misek, an analyst with Canaccord Capital, the same guy who predicted last year's partnership between RIM and Intel. Misek said that the two companies might jointly develop a new "AppleBerry" device that would combine iPod features with RIM's wireless technology.

Apparently, he also said that senior executives at Intel have recommended that Apple work with RIM. Except for that statement, there is NO OTHER evidence that this might be true. Don't get us wrong, we want this partnership to be true as much as you do, but we don't want to get your hopes up.

We want to hear from you. What do you think about this thing?

Never in a million years. That guy was right once, he got lucky, enough already. I hate "analyst rumors". They always predict and try to look smart when they get it right, but never show their faces when they don't.

And YES, I really hope he's right too.

this would be cool, but it's hard to belive after the softbank thing. it's only a matter of time until RIM will post a pr on its site saying the same thing as softbank. SIGH

I think it should be called a "MacBerry" since Appleberry sounds contradictory. And it rhymes with Blackberry.

"MacBerry Pro" perhaps? Will this thing burn your hands or something?
