Verizon is NOT launching the Motorola Q next week

Two days ago, Motorola President and Chief Executive Officer Ed Zander announced that the Motorola Q will launch next week. So, of course, Verizon Wireless began its promotions and was telling us that it will be the first carrier to launch the Motorola's smartphone.
Yes, we all rejoiced, but now, Brighthand is reporting that Verizon Wireless will not be launching the famous Q saying that "we do not have a launch event scheduled for next week". So I guess the whole May 22 thing is done and dusted. Unless Verizon is planning something after all and not telling us about it. Anyway, after months and months of waiting, they really should come clean and tell us an actual date already!
If you don't know yet, here's the rumored price of the Motorola Q: $349.99 with a 1 year contract, $299.99 with a 2 year contract and $419.99 with no contract.

Obviously!!!! Why the hell should they? Damn, I hate Verizon so much. I think I'm gonna wait for Sprint, this is just not working out.
