Nokia made an important announcement today about the delay of their latest smartphones, the E60, E61, E70, N71, N80 and N91. Apparently, they are claiming that software problems had delayed the release of the six models.

Nokia isn't the only one having issues with their phones. Motorola's Blackberry killer, the Q, is also having problems. The company failed to launch it on time twice already and changed the launch date on the Motorola Q promo page from "April 2006" to "shipping soon".

Nokia wasn't specific about the bug they found, but said that they will be shipping the N91 this week, followed by the N71 and N80 later this month. The company's business phones, the E60, E61 and E70, that also missed their March launch, will not be shipping until Nokia makes sure the software has been properly tested.
