Sony Ericsson has also made a few announcements today at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona. The a slim, lightweight K610i UMTS phone was announced. Just 17mm thick and weighing 92 grams, the K610 is one of the smallest and lightest 3G phone ever to be launched.

The Sony Ericsson K610i features a 262.000 (176 x 220 pixels) color display, 2 megapixel camera with 2x digital zoom, VGA camera for video calling, media player with MP3, AAC and E-AAC support, USB 2.0, Memory Stick Micro (up to 1 GB ).

The dual mode UMTS and GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 Sony Ericsson K610i is available in Evening Red and Urban Silver colours and starts shipping during Q2 2006.
