Nokia has unveiled today the Nokia 6234 3G mobile phone, which will be available exclusively for Vodafone customers world-wide.

Features of the 6234 (WCDMA 2100 / GSM 900/1800/1900) include a bright QVGA display, a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, digital music player, built-in stereo speakers with 3-D sound effects. This handset also contains Vodafone-specific software features like graphics, icons, menu texts and themes in the user interface.

"We have worked very closely with Nokia over the last two years, with particular focus on developing more terminals which are Vodafone live! enabled," says Peter Bamford, Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone. "We are now taking that to another level with the Nokia 6234. For the first time, we have a mobile phone designed by Nokia that is exclusive to Vodafone. The fact that it is a 3G product is all the more important."

The Nokia 6234 is expected to begin shipping in Q1 of 2006. No information about the price yet.
