The wait is officialy over. Sprint Nextel today launched the highly anticipated Samsung a900 slim phone (14.7mm thick). In addition, the company also launched the Samsung a920 music phone.
Features of the two phones are practically the same except of course the thickness: 1.3 mega-pixel camera with flash and zoom, Bluetooth wireless technology for hands-free connectivity, phone-as-modem capabilities.
Sprint Nextel launched the Sprint Music Store last month, which is the first U.S. music store that allows customers to browse, preview, download, play and manage high-quality digital music, from their phone. Thus, the a920 music phone will provide access to thousands of songs.
The a900 and a920 will be available on starting today in Sprint stores or online at www.sprint.com at a price of $349 before available rebates.

They may have announced the phone, but they are selling out of stock way too fast! It seems that every Sprint EV-DO phones is more popular then anyone thought they would be. the Power Visions plans are being added to new and current customers accounts at an insane pace! This info is coming from inside Sprint Nextel's product sales Departments. Hopefully by Dec 1st this phone will be available more widely. It seems Sprint customers have been waiting a long time for a slim-phone.
Sorry Motorola, it's your lose. Us CDMA users can't wait around for you to spend more time on us, then you do for your GSM customers.
We are a growing market, but you seem to care more about others then us. Your home USA market!
