Blackberry 7130e available from Verizon Wireless

Verizon Wireless and Research In Motion have launched today the BlackBerry 7130e, which is the first BlackBerry handset to use Verizon Wireless’ BroadbandAccess service on the company’s EV-DO network.

This new service will allow customers to use their BlackBerry 7130e as a modem and download files at average speeds of 400 to 700 kbps.

The BlackBerry 7130e features a large, high resolution LCD screen, Bluetooth, 64MB of flash memory, dedicated “send” and “end” keys and SureType™ keyboard technology from RIM.

This handset is available online on the Verizon Wireless website and starting December 1st, the it will also be available in all Verizon Wireless stores nationwide for the price of $299.99 with a two-year agreement.
