Motorola V557 now available from Cingular Wireless

Motorola and Cingular Wireless today announced the availability of the Motorola V557. This phone was first announced by Motorola back in March.
The Motorola V557 is the first phone to include Motorola's SCREEN3 technology, which sends information to the idle screen in a ticker tape that runs along the bottom of the screen. This technology gives users access to news, sports, entertainment and more.
The Motorola V557 features a VGA camera, video record and playback, EDGE technology and Cingular's consumer data services, such as Picture Messaging, for sharing images and Cingular Sounds for downloading MP3 ringtones.
The Motorola V557 is available at Cingular Wireless stores, for the price of $99.99 with a two-year service agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate.
