According to Reuters, Sprint Nextel's CEO Len Lauer plans to start selling a slim phone from Samsung in a few weeks in a bid to attract fashion conscious customers.

Samsung recently announced the A900, which features a 256.000 color QVGA display, 1.3 megapixel camera and is about 14.7mm thick. This, Reuters thinks, is the answer to Motorola's RAZR phone and it may help Sprint Nextel to compete with Cingular Wireless and Verizon Wireless.

Len Lauer said that Sprint Nextel will not sell RAZR along with the A900 saying that the Samsung device was better and that he preferred the ergonomics. Price was not disclosed yet.

Looks like people are out of luck with Sprint. I read in another blog that the head of Sprint said that this new crap samsung phone that kind of looks like a RAZR is all they will be getting for at least another year. It looks like a cheap knockoff of the RAZR and the sound blows. Guess I am going to switch to another carrier after being with them for at least 7 years.

I agree with Itchy as well. This phone is a lot better than the razor I had. The pictures great, sounds great, and looks great. This phone is truely ment to be on this earth and is truely ment for everyone. This will make a great present for teens for Christmas. Well I hope you all love the phone as much as I do.

One major problem I see with this phone (other than it is a cheap knockoff of the Razr) is that it is on a Sprint network. Too bad Sprint and Nextel merged. Nextel used to be a great company, but I'm sure Sprint will remedy that in short order.

How do you guys say its a cheap knockoff of the RAZR if its the same amount of money ? retards

by biglilsteve on Jan 23, 2006

i agree with danny...this phone has the RAZR beat in features and capabilities...and costs the same...it gives sprint customers like myself the opportunity to own a new, sleek, modern phone that hasn't been offered on sprint's network yet

Yo this samsung A-900 is tight and its even better when only sprint costumers can pick it up, and anyways every-one has that ghetto razor, Sorry but that razor is the cheap version of the blade. PEACE YALL.
