Nokia 770 Internet Tablet starts shipping

Nokia has announced today that their first device from the Internet Tablet product category has started shipping. The Nokia 770 is not a cell phone. It runs on Linux and is dedicated to convenient internet browsing and email communications over Wi-Fi.
Features of the Nokia 770 include a 800x480 pixel touch screen with up to 65,536 colors, 64MB of memory, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB. The 770 supports every major audio, video and image file format.
"We are very excited to start shipments of our first Nokia Internet Tablet device," said Janne Jormalainen, Vice President of Convergence Products, Multimedia, Nokia. "Since announced back in May we have seen huge interest in this device, particularly from the Open Source community."
You can purchase the Nokia 770 Internet Tablet online at an estimated price of 350 euros including taxes.
