Verizon Wireless today announced its third quarter financial results. In this quarter, the company earned $8.4 billion, which is an increase of 14.2 percent ($1 billion). This is the 13th consecutive quarter of double-digit year-over-year revenue growth increases. Total churn rate, was 1.3 percent for the third quarter 2005, down from 1.5 percent in the third quarter 2004.
Verizon Wireless added 1.9 million net new customers, 0.6 million more than Sprint Nextel. The company has added more than 7 million net new customers over the past 12 months and now has a total of 49.3 million customers.
