Verizon Wireless' first quarter report

Verizon Wireless has reported great earnings in the first quarter of 2005. Verizon also outran Cingular by the number of new customers added.
In this first quarter, Verizon had a total profit of $433 million and its revenue rose 20.4% to $7.4 billion. There were 45.5 million subscribers (1.64 million in Q1 2005), 1.3% churn rate, up from 1.6% a year ago, ARPU (Average reveneue per user) of of $49.03, up from $48.04 a year ago.
