EV-DO launched by ALLTEL

ALLTEL has launched EV-DO in three cities: Tampa, Cleveland and Akron, Ohio, USA. The service is called Axcess Broadband. Unlimited service will cost about $70 per month.
ALLTEL becomes the second carrier in the United States to launch EV-DO (first being Verizon Wireless). Another EV-DO launch is expected in the third quarter of this year, by Sprint PCS.
