The PCS Vision Multimedia Phone MM-5600, created by Sanyo received the Digital Imaging Marketing Association (DIMA) Innovative Digital Product Award at the Photo Marketing Association (PMA) 2005 Convention and Trade show in Orlando, Florida.

The mobile was selected out of the hundreds of other digital products. The award was based on the evaluation of digital imaging editors. The MM-5600 is Sanyo's first 1.3-MP camera phone with flash, digital zoom and macro setting for capturing close-ups, and a video camcorder.

It features a QVGA-resolution LCD screen. The 260,000-color screen and 240 x 320 resolution provide sharp detail of objects when viewing videos, photos, games and other images on the phone. The package contains a 16MB removable SD memory card and adapter and USB cable.

Fisher Company's Wireless Communications Division manager, Andy Kodera, accepted the award adding that "In today's highly competitive digital photo marketplace, it is a tremendous honor that the MM-5600 is recognized as an innovative digital imaging product."
